Water

I feel the love from my people and from above
I feel the hugs from people who've passed and flashbacks from drugs
I taste blood from being reckless, success from being relentless
Bacon from eating my breakfast, metal from chewing my necklace
And I guess perhaps not everything I see is senseless
I see the good, if I look for it I find it in droves
I smell the trees, it reminds me of home both the pin oak
When the wind blows and the dro that we'd pack into bones
I touch my lips to her lips and experience bliss
Touch the blade to my face and the fearlessness clicks
I hear the wackness and ignore it and tune to the dopeness
I hear these motherfuckers talking like Booth ain't the dopest
I feel these things but I know enough to know that I don't know shit
I know myself, I'm just a blowfish inside of the ocean
But I ride the wave and I pray to simply survive the day
Look I don't know where I'm going, go ahead and guide the way

Water, don't be taking it for granted
When life gets rough you handle it with care
And while you're trying to understand it
It's gonna slip right through your fingers like water

I went from boy who was sick and suffering to lawyer with grit and gumption
An addict who loves consumption, dramatic, I love dysfunction
An artist, you give me a fucking tuba I'll get you something
Been making or scribbling something ill since I was a little youngin
Wondering is it all part of a plan or is it random
Is God the celestial stew or the cook stirring the spoon
Shit I don't know either, man, that's a trippy question
And conviction is a slippery slope to misconception
So I keep my ears open, eyes open, mind open
Mouth, close it for the most part unless the rhyme flowing
Thoughts be nimble most complexities are awfully simple
And the awful things that men do always spawn from awful mental
So get your motherfucking mind right youngin
And read a book about Stoicism and highlight something
Or just say fuck it and embrace the absurdity of it all
But try to keep it humble, the pride always comes before the fall, I'm gone
