A Forest of Blind Men

Begun seeking knowledge
Become tender wardens
Possessions we abolish
Bring us solace
Live beyond death
Yet, reincarnation to me feels so unreal
With little evidence, my heart begs me to kneel
Forest of blind men
Upanishads tell life's story
Brahman is reality
This divine essence infinite, eternal
However, life is suffering
Ensure you reach Enlightenment
We end pain if we follow Eightfold, together
The final prophet, Mohammed
The former shepherd and merchant
His message teaches us of Allah, no other
Place your will in harmony
Balance your energy, your chi
Discover you is to discover the Earth
And these ideals could collide
You see with open eyes, but not an open mind

Leave me to decide what's mine
Don't persecute me for your so-called crime
When we see alike

Built my foundation
Concrete, complacent
The pages we sift through establish our sinew
Begun seeking knowledge
Become tender wardens
Possessions we abolish
Bring us solace
Live beyond death
Yet, I hear the Father
Not the Vedas, not Mohammed
There is no other but my God
Dwelling inside all, only the Bible

One, flesh and blood that was born so cold
Will you be able to lead us through a neverending war?
Between the silence and the rust, one body ends and turns to dust
Will you be able to lead us?
The pages we sift through establish our sinew

Leave me to decide what's mine
Don't persecute me for your so-called crime
When we see alike
