Lavender Love

My baby's calmer than the mountains of Virginia
I write her poems that were hers before their spawn
A fragrant homecoming is blooming when I see you
A river valley of two arms I long to hold

We're growing roots and making flowers by the moonlight
Cross pollination; mother nature knew the game
So when the day is breaking I don't wanna see it
The sunlight cuts the night and takes my love away

I see the sunrise in your eyes and I know I've gotta be
Close the ocean that's your motion and its taking over me
I hear the wind rustling in your voice; breezes calling me
Come be my whole world: Be my sun and my moon and my stars and my sea

You're my Lavender lullaby
Rest my heart when you're near
Something natural I can't deny
You're my Lavender Love

My baby's peaceful like the flow of Shenandoah
Compare her likeness to the storm that brings the calm
And when she whispers to me, I just hear the rainfall
The lightning in her lips it struck me long ago

She rustles in the wind, her flowing locks of fortune
Provide the air my lungs will drink in satisfied
She's the foundation that I lean on if I falter
Despite the weather, my shelter she'll provide

I see the sunrise in your eyes and I know I've gotta be
Close the motion that's your ocean and its taking over me
I hear the wind rustling in your voice; breezes calling me
Come be my whole world: Be my sun and my moon and my stars and my sea

You're my Lavender lullaby
Rest my heart when you're near
Something natural I can't deny
You're my Lavender Love
You're my Lavender lullaby
Rest my heart when you're near
Something natural I can't deny
You're my Lavender Love
