One

I wrote my first song at age 14
The audience was no one but me
They were my songs hidden behind my bedroom door

I started out with GarageBand on my phone
Sitting on my bed making music alone
I never thought It'd lead me to where I am now

Now I'm writing songs for His glory
Singing lyrics that tell His story
No matter where I am when this done
I've always had an audience of One
He'll be there when that stage gives way
When my voice is gone
And it's gone to stay
Until this life is done
He'll be my audience
My audience of One

When I pictured this stage of life
This is not what I saw
I saw a man doing math or flying jets
Oh, not like this at all

Gonna spend my life in the ministry
Being His hands and feet
I'm gonna give up everything because
Living for Him is enough

Now I'm writing songs for His glory
Singing lyrics that tell His story
No matter where I am when this done
I've always had an audience of One
He'll be there when that stage gives way
When my voice is gone
And it's gone to stay
Until this life is done
He'll be my audience
My audience of One
