For me, saying I'm independent is much
more than just a couple of words, you know
It's more than just, being able to label yourself as free
To me it's been a way of life
And for me it's been a way that I've been able to
strike back at the industry, to be honest with you
'Cause, you know, you have these people that,
didn't come up in a culture, tryna run the culture
These people that have no idea about,
what it really means to be out here
Telling us how we should do things and
dictating algorithms, and all that stuff but
You know independence is a way of life, it's saying that I'm,
gonna take my vision,
my dream and I'm gonna come up the way that I want to
And ain't nobody gonna stop me and dictate my
creativity and how I can release stuff or when I can drop
I'm gonna do it the way that I want to and
I'm gonna take this God given creativity and just paint this canvas up
In the most beautiful masterpiece that you've ever seen before
And when I unleash it,
it's gonna take over and supersede anything that you could release
'Cause it's not something that comes from a cookiecutter cutout
This comes from the heart man, this comes from blood, sweat and tears
This comes from being on the block and seeing things happen
This comes from a place that's real
