Umm this one is actually a song that I wrote
And whenever I'm at like a open mic
Or a poetry night or whatever
I love to perform this one a capella
You know and I kinda flip it up a little bit from the song
Umm and make it a little more like
You know, spoken word live poetry or whatever
So this one's titled Between Friends

Mind body and soul get me in sync
As I unwind and recline comfortably in my seat
I'm on the rise when I think of you
And you arrive when I speak of you
You know the way to my heart
And though it's scarred
You don't mind you still take a part
Can we partake in conversation
Your words are weapons
The power of your mouth
Lord it must be reckoned
I start confessin' words I've held deep inside
Sweet nothings I'm feeling something please reprise
Your comfort baby it's warm
You make it warm and then you bring the storm

I put my hand on your left cheek
I look in your eyes bless the technique
God bless the speech but if you don't mind
Can I vent like old times
Pardon my aggression
I really missed our long talks
Felt like long walks in the park after dark
Word to Jill I have a lot to say
It'll be a couple of hours so can you stay

You know my thoughts deep and they penetrate

I'm enamored but I pray it won't be damaging

My insecurities
