Fairy Lights

Your pink light forms a line along the wall
As I noticed it I started to fall
Even though this was not the very first time
It was different in a familiar light

As I face planted into a river
The functions in my brain refuse to deliver
When you're squashed into a room with too many people
I was overwhelmed by you

The sunrise floods my room as I wake up
It hits my eyes as I try to adjust
To the light in my face that's stronger than ever
It feels familiar

As I face planted into a river
The functions in my brain refuse to deliver
When you're squashed into a room with too many people
I was overwhelmed by you

You are gonna have to remember where you are
Getting blinded when you took it too far
Take your fairy lights down off of the wall
They're overwhelming
