I was woken up from a shattered dream which was lying in between
This reality as it seems and my idealistic schemes

Wrapped in masks of faded apathy, lunacy I guarantee
But leave all the rest up to me as I plan my escape and flee
'Cos all those characters I wrote, they just took too long to quote
All the feelings they provoked and now the irony's a joke

And as I suffocate in this quiet hate, I require one more plot
Because loneliness must not be fate, but the embers must be fought
This co-dependency's afloat and we're running out of strokes
