Reynolds Station
Out in Reynold Station there's a trailer that sits back above the hill
White with shutters painted red, a kitchen where we'd sit down for a meal
Me and my 2 brothers ran the woods right out beside when we were small
We'd run, and laugh, and fight all day, the real world didn't matter yet at all
Sometimes I still think about that tree of ours where we hung out
From morning till the sun was wearing thin
Then we'd head back for supper time
Fall asleep to old wind chimes
When morning came we'd do it all again
I know I'm getting older now
And my mind just ain't the same
I'm living for this night life
Chasing fortune, girls, and fame
I ain't been back in years now
And i'm the only one to blame
I keep these memories with me
Aww but memories ain't the same
Across the field the cows would stay all by itself there set a water well
We'd throw rocks and pennies in and wish for things but what we'd never tell
Then we'd sit on the porch and play while Wilma, Marshall and Wanda May told stories about times from way back when
Army men and lego blocks, hot wheels in an old shoe box
Our next adventure just around the bend
I know I'm getting older now
And my mind just ain't the same
I'm living for this night life
Chasing fortune, girls, and fame
I ain't been back in years now
And i'm the only one to blame
I keep these memories with me
Aww but memories ain't the same
Im sure that place ain't half the size
As it was in my younger eyes
But life ain't near as big as what we think
Yesterday I dialed that place
To my surprise a voice came on the phone
And said baby come Back home
I know I'm getting older now
And my mind just ain't the same
I'm living for this night life
Chasing fortune, girls, and fame
I ain't been back in years now
And i'm the only one to blame
I keep these memories with me
Aww but memories ain't the same
Oh I keep those memories with me
Aww but memories aint the same
