Candy Hearts

I got pockets full of them
I try to ignore the feeling
I like when they tell me that we'll be alright
But candy hearts lie

I write all this poetry
It's cryptic with a double meaning
So sick but it's on my lips when you're gone
I can't wash it off

Broke down in the BnB
I slept in my car 'cause the rent is free
I dropped my cell phone on the concrete
It's been real hard

Lately I've been falling on your silence
I'm not dreaming much
You're not calling, I hear sirens
They sing what we couldn't be

Lately I've been falling on your silence
I'm not dreaming much
You're not calling, I hear sirens
They sing what we couldn't be
