Days

I went down to lay by the riverside
Not a thought for what I'd left behind
And with a laugh, out comes a summer breeze to play
So I'll watch, it's really a lovely dance today

Oh and I will think about the days
These impossible parades
Velvet afternoons get me high and I
Drift away
To float back to Earth someday

Does the wind worry which way it wants to blow
And do the seeds falling in Autumn wish to grow
Well it makes you think
For all of the help of this old brain
What's the need
We go where we're wanted in the play

And I've got to enjoy the ride
Ease some weight from my mind
Use my hands and heart to make weird fuckin art
So I'll slow my roll
Relax, nothing's in control

When I die, put me out in the field to lay
I don't mind feedin the daffodils someday

Oh and as I walk between the worlds
I hope I look back on this Earth
And I smile big, cause right up to the end
Guess I
I knew
It would fade away soon
