City Ransom

Well I've been walking for miles there's nothing in sight
These houses and concrete are all a disguise
Nobody lives here no one comes by
And these faces that look back are all in your mind

Well the stores are all open but there's no one in sight
The streets are so quiet when there's no cars that drive
I feel for a pulse hope the place is a alive
The horizon is rhythmic, this town has flat lined

They're growing they're growing they're
Out of control
They're forming they're forming so sound
The alarms
Sound the alarms

TAKE YOUR CITY

Walls are falling while bricks are laid down
Foundations erupt when you start from the ground
To look back on the lives that we've lived
Which way is forward and where to begin

The cement is dry, it's up to us all
To see if the structure reach its limits or falls
And what was built was not built alone
And what was forgotten was written in stone
"Look on my way works ye mighty and despair"
And for the posterity that wishes to care
Because these efforts were true and these efforts were fair
To make today as free as the air
