Watch over you for decades
Help you with ya homework and some essays
Any doc appointment for some x-rays
I wish that I could be there you gotta understand
That ya father was the best and defended you as a man

Who gone pick you up and tuck you in bed
But I got time for a baby
And in the near future it's not a no or a maybe
I need you to come and save me

I get butterflies every time I think about ya laughter
Take a family trip to the park
Or better yet I could cradle you to sleep when it's dark

See my parents did well if I needed it they bought

But tryna raise a child I know it's worth it

Ya mom could be in New York or she could be in D.C.
Prayin' it's gone work raise you alone if need be
