TwentyEight89
This feel like ninety-nine
Twenty-eight eighty-nine
Before I wrote my first rhyme
Before them folks drop the dime
Before my watch told the time
Now I'm always on time
Momma always said he punctual
We don't stand on the line
I'm late for that
If you had a taste of that
You'll probably pay for that
I couldn't wait for that
I think I was made for that
So I'm coming in when it feel right
Real melodic joint but still hype
Turn joint up if you feel like
Because I'm late for that
If you had a taste of that
You'll probably pay for that
I couldn't wait for that
I think I was made for that
So I'm coming in when it feel right
Real melodic joint but still hype
Turn joint up if you feel like
Because I'm
Raised in the streets of the niccel
East twelfth Ave to be exact
Coping with the pain when I roll through
Write the hood but it never write back
Realizing the hood don't love you
Street signs can't reciprocate that
Still we get it tatted it on our bodies
By the tear ducts
That's how we keep track
But that ain't me see I was blessed to see
Many things and travel overseas
Study under kings with mad degrees
And learn some things they teach in ivy league
Break it back and plant it like to seed
Later on it's shade from all the trees
Don't honor me all praises Elohim
For it's not Eaz although at times it seems
Eaz got it wrapped like takeout
I be all over the place
The mask that we wear is the fake out
It's written all over your face
So pray for your leaders
Codependent you know that we need you, you need us
Be of cheer when you greet us
For we are just men who still fall short of Jesus
And this feel like ninety-nine
Twenty-eight eighty-nine
Before I wrote my first rhyme
Before them folks drop the dime
Before my watch told the time
Now I'm always on time
Momma always said he punctual
We don't stand on the line

If you had a taste of that
You'll probably pay for that
I couldn't wait for that
I think I was made for that
So I'm coming in when it feel right
Real melodic joint but still hype
Turn joint up if you feel like
Because I
Grew up down the street from my granny
We don't speak as much as we should
I don't pull up every time I slide through
Rather detours through the hood
It's not like I forget when I come from
Pray she understand we good
I'll probably never tell her she hurt me
Even thought I know that I should
Speaking of a black man's trauma
And his pride to mix is never good
Where he vent to be mentally healthy
Say it's weak never share if you could
But me and my brothers we got a pass that
To be here for the future and maybe pass that
Bring peace to your family so they can pass that
Breaking curses so generations surpassed that
But twenty-eight eighty-night that was home
Where I first learned to rhyme of the dome
Where I first learned that everything grows
Sound crazy but not everyone knows
Bout the lessons in the garden in the back of the house
Tomatoes, collards and lettuce and nagging from the spouse
Not to mention working a job that wasn't paying out
Probably late to grand-daddy just shooting up the house
But that was year ninety-nine
Twenty-eight eighty-nine
Before I wrote my first rhyme
Before them folks drop the dime
Before my watch told the time
Now I'm always on time
Momma always said he punctual
We don't stand on the line

So I'm coming in when it feel right
Real melodic joint but still hype
Turn joint up if you feel like
Because I
My little cousin ask me
How it feel to be ballin
Rawlings, Spalding, Wilson, Golfin
I'm late for that
If you had a taste of that
You'll probably pay for that
I couldn't wait for that
I think I was made for that
So I'm coming in when it feel right
Real melodic joint but still hype
Turn joint up if you feel like
