New Day

In the middle of the night
When I can't sleep
And the worries of life seem to break my soul
And I question my sanity

And I can't help but wonder
When it's dark and somber
Can You really make whole what is broken

Shall I make it through the night
Can I give it all over to you
Or shall I keep a little back to help you out

Is it really really true what they say
Can I give all my burdens away
Will You take it on your shoulders
And make the broken things whole

I have no doubt
I know my troubles are small
They probably don't compare to many others'
But, can You help me out I'm tired
Can You show me how to live

And when I wake up in the morning
And I feel I can carry on
And I open my eyes to a new Day
I feel a song coming on

And I feel I can breathe a little better
I have the grace where I can say: You are the New Day!

I wrote a song about choosing love and joy
But I find myself acting in the opposite way I know it's true what they say

I can give all my burdens away
You will take it on your shoulders
And make the broken things whole

And when I wake up in the morning
And I feel I can carry on
And I open my eyes to a
And I feel I can breathe a little better

I have the grace where I can say: You are the New Day!
