The Flower on the Precipice

Starving God satisfy my hunger
Drag me out of true weakness of men:
The will to be reprieved from the claws
Of the thousand-eyed beast called possibility
You praise the beauty of the flower on the precipice
For you stop at the edge of that cliff
Your fearful hand will never step out into the sky
Witness this whole Universe
These scars and thirst of mine
I am the thorn that tames the dusk
I am the unbound, the bloom of solitude
Hope is a cancer that slowly kills the mind
A sweet addiction that leads to failure
I am the thorn that tames the dusk
I am the unbound, the bloom of solitude
I am the thorn that drinks the heavens
I'm the betrayed, the bleeding monolith
I dwell in loneliness for I had trust in life
Now looking back into the abyss I realise
Time will not heal what has died
Time will never heal
This will never heal
But even alone through blackened skies
I will fly.
