The Sun and the Sea

I lit this lamp to help my eyesight
And in the act I dimmed the moonlight
If I had stayed behind this tour guide
Then I may not have flown from the cliff side

I fell ten feet from where my friends were
Into my doubt and clouds of the unsure
I closed my eyes and let loose the lamp light
At last I saw that I float on the insight that

Everyone is everything
My skin and bones will form the trees
A part of them now lives in me
I am the sun, They are the sea

I flew through the rain
Drops soak through my skin
Cells merge fusing blood and nature

This boundary between
Us feels paper thin
Walls concrete but melt like glaciers

Float inches above
Sea foam on the waves
light jumps with the fish to meet me

Now I understand
I feel less alone
If I am them they complete me 'cause

Everyone is everything
My skin and bones will form the trees
A part of them now lives in me
I am the sun, They are the sea

Open hands
Release the arrow

And open arms
Create the scarecrow

Our effigy
Is all the same

Atomic forms
With different names

Open hands
Release the arrow

And open arms
Create the scarecrow

Our effigy
Is all the same

Atomic forms
With different names
