Stones of Tuscany
So now my river's dry and all my friends are high
With their siblings standing in a starving line
All the cities cry and I just wonder why
Since we seek our purposes in all our lives
While the wind will blow I will forever glow under the undertow of all the things I know
Don't leave the open sea, become divine and free, that's how it's supposed to be
So, now we're dividing, trying to make it through the day
Some people are dying, 'cause they're getting lost along the way
Come, come to the river, just to the river where we'll sleep
So the nights will lead us to the sea
How can I figure it out when my mind's so loud
I just crawl about it's piling up my doubts
So I catch a cold and I just blame the world
Now the plane's on hold, it's not flying away
So in the end we must just swim
We wanna try to chase the flow
We wanna try to reach the seashore
So, now we're dividing, just like the sun we'll fall away
Behind the horizon, trying to find a better day
Come, come to the ocean, just to the ocean where we'll see
Beside the strengthy cypress tree
There was a raw and feral grace about this everlasting place
It doesn't know itself but we know that it is real
Just like a woman wakes at dawn some golden sunlight falls upon the hazy town, her dressing gown
Florence, eternal crown
