Cosmos
The sun, the moon, the stars, and the planets
There will be other worlds and stars and galaxies coming into being
And they will know nothing of a place once called Earth
From this distant vantage point
The Earth might not seem of any particular interest
But for us, it's different
The Earth is where we make our stand
That's here, that's home, that's us
On it everyone you love, everyone you ever heard of
Every human being who ever was, lived out their lives
Every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization
Lived there, on a mote of dust
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life
The Earth is where we make our stand
The only home we've ever known
The sun, the moon, the stars, and the planets
Which travels fast, but not infinitely fast
To cross the intervening vastness
Luminous dots, brighter than most of the stars
And they will know nothing of a place once called Earth
But for us, it's different
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life
The Earth is where we make our stand
The only home we've ever known
Character-building experience
There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits
Than this distant image of our tiny world
To me, it underscores our responsibility
To deal more kindly with one another
And to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot
The only home we've ever known
There will be other worlds and stars and galaxies coming into being
And they will know nothing of a place once called Earth
From this distant vantage point
The Earth might not seem of any particular interest
But for us, it's different
The Earth is where we make our stand
That's here, that's home, that's us
On it everyone you love, everyone you ever heard of
Every human being who ever was, lived out their lives
Every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization
Lived there, on a mote of dust
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life
The Earth is where we make our stand
The only home we've ever known
The sun, the moon, the stars, and the planets
Which travels fast, but not infinitely fast
To cross the intervening vastness
Luminous dots, brighter than most of the stars
And they will know nothing of a place once called Earth
But for us, it's different
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life
The Earth is where we make our stand
The only home we've ever known

There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits
Than this distant image of our tiny world
To me, it underscores our responsibility

And to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot
The only home we've ever known
