Grandma's Porch
I remember when thinking back when
I may have been around eight or ten
I use to run and have so much fun when I was young
Ooh I use to play all day until there was no more sun
And I had the best friends, we sang and we danced
And I can't count on my hands all the things that we did
On grandma's porch
Ooh, on grandma's porch
Everyday we'd play hide and seek
And you'd better not peek
Her porch was big it could fit the neighborhood kids
Oh such a joy, my grandma's porch
Oh how I miss my grandma's porch
Wintertime we'd climb on mountains of snow high
Making snow angels and pretending we could fly
And we would lick the white snow
Didn't care it was zero below
If we were cold you'd never know
We had so much fun on grandma's porch
Ooh on my grandma's porch!
Thinking bout that big cherry tree
It had me smiling with glee
When she would pick them for me
I'd run and wait on the porch so I can eat
And ooh they were so sweet
Oh how I miss my grandma's porch
Flowers blooming in the spring it made me wanna sing
About the love I had when I was young was a special thing
A grandma's love is something special you'll cherish every day
Even when you're down it'll turn that frown all the way round
Playing jacks and eating snacks on grandma's porch
Waiting for the ice cream truck
Selling lemonade that was freshly made
And so excited to make a couple bucks
My neighborhood was full of love and all the children felt safe
And my grandma's porch was so much fun
It was that special place
I remember when thinking back then
I may have been around eight or ten
I use to run and have so much fun when I was young
Ooh I use to play all day until there was no more sun
And I had the best friends, we sang and we danced
And I can't count on my hands all the things that we did
On grandma's porch
