The Garden

There was a garden
For the brokenhearted
Souls that are buried beneath
Sunflowers roses maple leaves are growing
Townspeople dig in the dirt
And I'll sleep at the garden again

All the leaves have fallen
Winter into summer
Seasons have proven the same
Plants are choking all of this
Wearing your smile like a dress
I'll sit here and I'll wait for a friend
And I'll sleep at the garden again

One day in the garden
Waved into my faded soul
I took out my hatchet
Cut down all the branches full
Set free all the spirits
Trapped beneath the myriad
Freedom from the garden
Freedom for my broken soul

I'll sit here and wait for a friend
I think we should make some amends
I'll sleep at the garden again
I'll sleep at the garden again
