The Sower

He walks to the fields
Sets down a chair
He paints "The Sower"
Although no one's there
Brush in his hand
Fire in his eyes
One of these days, the harvest will rise

He's taking every school of thought
Putting them in melting pots
And creating something not ever seen

But he hasn't sold a thing

His canvases are kindling

Something 'bout his coloring makes my eyes sore

Much too messy
Seems so desperate
Doesn't impress me

For a new world to begin
The old one must fall
Don't any of you think
There is something after all

There is something after all

He works through the night
(Turn the night into day)
Shows no restraint
(For a new world to begin)
Planting grain
(The old one must fall)
With every canvas he paints
{Is there something after all}

This promotion's killing me

Take a day off from Paris
We can catch the last train that leaves tonight

I have so much work to do
But I can't say no to you

You are the one thing going right

You have given me your drive

You make me feel alive

Now all of my senses ignite

You are living art

Your sunshine's on my heart

Turning the dark into light

I want a life full of riches
And not in the classic sort of way
A new foundation for creation
Building our own constellation
That brings a sort of brighter day
Every moment with the intent
To find...

I love you

Enlightenment

Red, orange, blue, gold, and green
Painting the world you dream

He works through the night
(There's so much more to learn)
{Turn the night into day}
Shows no restraint
(There's so much more to be)
{For a new world to begin}
Planting grain
(Always shine and redefine our humanity)
With every canvas he paints
{Is there something after all}
Outstretched hands
{After all}
Open his eyes

Seasons will change
The harvest will rise

And everyone knows
You reap what you sow
