Street Names

People rushing past the street lights
Chasing daydreams until midnight
I'm watching on the sidewalk wondering what it's all for

Walking without navigation
Searching for my destination
Well, I can't help but feel that I have been here before

And I don't know how I made it through this year
But somehow I did, now where do I go from here

Tell me
Somebody out there just tell me
To keep on moving down this way or that way
'Cause lately
My faith hasn't been steady
And getting lost in the busy city
Only having numbers for the street names

Caught in modern architecture
Searching for that greener pasture
No matter where I look I can't find the sign of a spire

Wandering roads of non-description
I can't trust my intuition
I'm blown around by every wind of my own desire

So I don't know how I'll make it through this year
But somehow I will and finally leave from here

Tell me
Somebody out there just tell me
To keep on moving down this way or that way
'Cause lately
My faith hasn't been steady
And getting lost in the busy city
Only having numbers for the street names
