Wishlist
What's on your wishlist
Do you have a missus
Do you wanna give her everything this Christmas
Do you wanna hold her tight and give her kisses before being interrupted by the big sis
All the family comes with traditions
Mothers, fathers, cousins, siblings
We gather round the table and get a heaping of every little dish that grandma was making
And at night, we looking at the ceiling
We laughing and telling jokes this evening
But it seems that something is missing
It's on your mind and you can't stop thinking
Then you look over at your girl and she reminds you to get the box from under the sapling
So when the time is right, and it's late at night, we get the candles out with everybody singing
Mmm, I'm so happy to see the gifts over there in the wrapping
The fire's warm and the flames are crackling
But nothing's better than the good old laughing
With my family this Christmas
I just knew I had to come and visit
Cause all I want is to see that tree lit
That's number one on my wishlist
I don't need gifts when I give them
I don't make goals till I live them
And I don't have to rhyme to get the pitch in
All I need is a book to read while I'm waiting for the food in the kitchen
I hear the children whispering about their friends, and how they got away with snitching
I laugh to myself cause I remember what it was like to be them
Now I'm over here writing this EP
And DaVan is giving the rights to me
He says I need to keep the clarity
But what I really need is my sanity
I know this year was hard on us all
Some stayed through and some took the fall
But I'm still standing strong and tall
Cause someday I'll come back into the hall, singing
Mmm, I'm so happy to see the gifts over there in the wrapping
The fire's warm and the flames are crackling
But nothing's better than the good old laughing
With my family this Christmas
I just knew I had to come and visit
Cause all I want is to see that tree lit
That's number one on my wishlist
Everybody seeing this
Look at the stars, they glistening
Snow is falling, are you listening
Fire is still sizzling
Kids are sleeping, they in bliss
Look into the fog and the mist
We crossing numbers off the list
Everybody seeing this
Look at the stars, they glistening
Snow is falling, are you listening
Fire is still sizzling
Kids are sleeping, they in bliss
Look into the fog and the mist
We crossing numbers off the list
Everybody seeing this
