I hope you live as long as Earth does
May your longing wrists twist the axis in your favor
As long as this vibrant ball spins within our infinity
I hope you flourish
As disease debilitates the weak
I wish you nothing but a good bill of health
As trash mountains begin poking holes in the atmosphere
I hope you're perched in the clouds breathing through your nose
As we fight over muddy puddles of acid rain
I hope you're served pitchers of the purest alkaline

In the garden of my fears
The sun feels just like home
It dries up all of my tears
But I realize I am alone

I hope you outlast all the chaos, tragedy and greed
I hope you live as long as Earth does
To see the trees reclaim their territory
The moss it's foundation
The flowers their decoration
The clouds their awning
I hope you're graced with loneliness
The kind when crickets sooth you to sleep
And the morning chatter of wings and beaks awakes you
Where the waves can be heard no matter how far away they break
And the twinkling of the stars rings through your ears

You're standing so near
I can't hear your voice
The truth it isn't so clear

But the results are always false

I pray you outlive it all
And a new world with promise is born
