Self Reflection

Told you I'm probably better off without you guess I was lying
You never put forth any effort ha it's like your not even trying
Sometimes I think if I never met you things would have been so different
I truly hate it when you call cause the timing is so inconsistent
I grew up seeing things that's too tough to reconcile
But here recently I lay low, stay outta trouble, man it's been awhile
Missing the way that you lick your lips before you roll up the backwood
Now I sit here by myself eating steak with wine like it's all good
Like it's all good, at least that's what I tell myself
I push through the day like it's all okay man I don't need no help
So I had to get my own back cause my true friends didn't have that
Had to cut ties, cause there's snakes in the grass backstabbing and telling lies
You know you gotta go through the pain to see light through the rain
So I stand tall no I never fold, even when it's dark and getting cold
Who knew self reflection could be turned into a lethal weapon
Had to find myself so when I enter the room you know the man just stepped in damn
