Cooking Mama: The Musical

First, we'll melt the butter and add a cup of cream
We'll pour it in the pan and add some flour
We need to stir it gently, more gently, it would seem
Now, let's grate a block of cheddar, better make this sauce supreme

Take two quarts of water and pour it in your pot
Now, start the stove and bring it to a boil
We'll drop in some spaghetti, and once it's gotten hot
We can dump it in the strainer, or apparently, we'll not

A little bit al dente
But we'll work with what we've got

Cut the bread up length-wise with simple, fluid strokes
It's only bread, it shouldn't need a chainsaw
Now, spread on garlic butter, is this some kind of joke?
Add a dash or two of parsley 'til the parsley shaker's broke

Pick a prawn to start with and dip it in the sauce
A bit more sauce wouldn't hurt
Now, coat these shrimp in breading and don't let them roll off
Don't let them roll right off
How are these rolling off?
Put 'em in a pan to start 'em cooking, and sauté them like a boss

Douse the oven fire, who knew that pies combust
And have a smoky scent that likes to linger?
Let's add a dab of icing to hide the dried out crust
Then we'll throw it on a platter, right side up? It doesn't matter
Let's slice up some fruit to scatter, hold on, stop, watch my fingers
