Human
Once upon a time there was a man named Cecil
He had a fairytale of his dreams so it seemed
Everything was so complete
That time in his life was so sweet
But internally he was dealing with depression and deceit
A rape attempt on his life he felt defeat
He took his pain out on the people who loved him
Pushed them away but wasn't because of them
And it caused him to not be himself
He did things that just wasn't himself
And now he looks back on it
Wish he can do it all over again
To make better decisions
But he has to live life today
And ask the Lord to forgive him every day
He still loves her but it is what it is
He's only human but wants to start again
I'm only human
I know I've so many mistakes
But I've gotta thank You
For Your forgiveness
It's no excuse but
I am only a man
He wants to start again but it ain't happing
He holds on to things that he shouldn't
Doors keep closing in his face
And he ends up homeless on that winter day
He doesn't realize the pain that he's in
And all he had to do is ask the Lord back in
And all had to do was ask forgiveness of sin
And ask to heal his heart for his life to begin
Again so his life can start
And find that love again in his heart
For his fairytale just like the beginning
And find his smile again hashtag winning
The moral of the story is that it's never too late
For the Lord to touch your heart in every single way
And who is Cecil? Yeah thats me
I'm not ashamed, still growing yeah thats me
I'm only human
I know I've so many mistakes
But I've gotta thank You
For Your forgiveness
It's no excuse but
I am only a man
I'm only human
I know I've so many mistakes
But I've gotta thank You
For Your forgiveness
It's no excuse but
I am only a man
I'm only human
I know I've so many mistakes
But I've gotta thank You
For Your forgiveness
It's no excuse but
I am only a man
