In Addition to Apathy

Well you can bet I don't wanna be so negative
What more can you offer when there's nothing left to give?
I see it all around me, it's like I always knew
It was a matter of time before I saw it come from you

Don't let your apathy define you
Let your words be the ones that bind you

I don't wanna try
I won't put effort in to get by
I just gotta say
There must be an easier way

Well I could bet that you think that you got it figured out
When it doesn't work for you, you hang your head and pout
Blame it on depression, throw it on the pile
If I offered you an inch, you'd take a thousand miles

How can you even say you can't
With all of that unwarranted self-importance?

I just gotta stop, it's too hard to find a job
I'll never succeed, I need someone else to do it for me
Oh I don't wanna try
I won't put effort in to get by
I just gotta say, there must be an easier way

In addition to apathy, I'd say you suffer from
An aversion to ambition, unequaled for decades to come
You say that you wanna make it, but you never want to try
How you gonna do that when all you ever do is get high?
