Legacy

In my youth, I read a book
Forests to farmland
Sometimes I see the forest in my dreams
It makes me free

When you drive people off their lands
And you drive them out of existence
It's time for us to change and rebuild
And learn from the legacy of the past

People have been orphaned
Abandoned by the future
Disconnect from the people are the
Head-honchos and stock brokers

There will be confrontations
But who knows who will pay for it
Violence to a social struggle
Is it really necessary?

When you drive people off their land
You drive them out of existence
Its time for us to change and rebuild
And learn from the legacy of the past

It's better to die than to live on your knees
Say the landless people from a small village
In a sea of soy, the Midwest or the desert
Who threw them aside?

When you drive people off their land
You drive them out of existence
Its time for us to change and rebuild
And learn from the legacy of the past

In my youth, I read a book
Farmland to city
Sometimes I see the farm in my dreams
It makes me free
