Ballad of A Generation

Every time I think of life
I think about how hard I try
To make everyone happy
By doing things that mean nothing to me
I guess I do not match their vision
Because they think I'll have decisions
Ready for what I want to do forever so easily

Maybe one day I will see
That life isn't all misery
Like with all of the things required
To live in this society
They say "Go to school get your degree
You'll get a good job you will see
Give up your dreams cause you won't make it
Forget it, move on, you're not free"

You love something, but does it pay
Most people tend to never stray
Away from normal jobs and careers
So why be different anyway

I hate the way it makes me feel
To know that my goals are so real
But really are they realistic
Do I stop dreaming no big deal

I'll never stop this feeling of
The love of music in my heart
I'll never conform to the rules
I'll sing until I fall apart
It's true
