What About Love?

He sat on a bench
Crippled and entrenched
With grief and sadness
For the worlds madness

Heartbroken and used
With traveled worn shoes
But with his sadness
Came sublimity and compassion

For those who are hurt
For those who've been abused
For those who are injured
For those who've been used

For those who've been hit
With stones in their face
For nothing but peace
And love and grace

Until a moment in time
He found peace sublime
In she who is beauty
In she who is peace

In she who is truthfully
Blessed with grace
She walks she treads she flies so free
Without judgement for who can't be

Shackled in chains he asks her for grace
Clothes muddy, sadness, anger on his face
Angry at the world for what he had done
Pointed a finger when he should've looked from

What about love
What about trust
What about beauty
When we've been thrust

What about love
What about peace
What about beauty
Forgiveness and grace

Before we cared about saving face
Now let's care about love and grace
For those who've been broken
For those who've been abused

For are we all not sinners
Are we all not the abused
Show them some kindness
Show them some love

Love comes around to those who are gloves
Hold it tight and don't be fright
Give it all your might
