Midlife Crisis
It started with her brother's death
They hadn't been to the beach in 20 years
Her parents made out of it just fine
But she, she just couldn't shake it off
And a happy childhood never prepared her for this
I think she called it a midlife crisis
A midlife crisis
I think she called it a midlife crisis
A midlife crisis
I think she called this a midlife crisis
When she went back to work
Her friends were all sorry
But they used her case and then booked long vacations
Someone said get a hobby and it was late
But she plucked up the courage and then picked up dancing
And they all said sorry
But I don't think they kept in touch
I think she called it a midlife crisis
A midlife crisis
I think she called this a midlife crisis
A midlife crisis
I think she called this a midlife crisis
So it was no surprise to me
When she moved to a small town
What with people always asking her if she had kids
She lost alot of weight
I think she's not been eating
And the last I heard form her she was on a morning walk
Before I hung up I said 'You seem really happy
Maybe one of these days you could get a dog'
She laughed it off and in the end she jokingly called it
A midlife, a midlife
A midlife crisis
She joked but I think it's a midlife crisis
She was laughing but it's a midlife crisis
I think it's a midlife crisis
It's a midlife crisis
A midlife crisis

She was laughing but it's a midlife crisis
I think it's a midlife crisis
It's a midlife crisis
A midlife crisis
