Light Years

It's been a year
It's been a long, long fight
I need some quiet
A haven from all my fears
The year has swept by
These months feel like fleeting moments
And I haven't been coping too well
I can't seem to find my way out

I see the skies
All of your handiwork
You formed the stars
And called them each by name
The universe is at Your feet

What is Man that You're mindful of him

Sometimes it feels You are light years away
With all that is going on in me

When all the walls are closing in

Tears down my face
Lost in this maze of pain
But You lift my eyes
To give me a new perspective
What You see
You say no pain would ever be wasted
Or felt in vain
Cos You're able to work it for good
Even pain has a purpose in my life
