Unwind Your Mind
They say "if you snooze you lose" but if I could choose, I'd choose to snooze
Anything to untangle the blues like Dr Suez would do
The thought went something like that or maybe not quite, coulda sorta mighta been more like...
When I fell out of bed in a cloud of dread to myself I said 'hey, unbend your head'
So slide slide slippity slide you think you're moving up and you're falling behind
So drop that rut before you're dead and play with your mind a bit instead
And re-learn to be silly like when you were young when you were dead serious about having fun
I got a 5 year old who's reminding me how to rhyme and find time to unwind my mind
We'd have this marathon rhym-athons all day long
Like he'll say I'm not tired. I'm on fire so get me some milk and a big fat tire
Or I found a dinosaur's tooth in the yard, I tried to bite it and boy it's hard
And I'd say it's time to rise and shine cause it sunny outside and I feel fine
Or let's play a game, you be the bad guy and I'll be a French fry, hold the salt
And he'd be like You know what, King Tut met a duck on a truck, what luck
And the kitty cat wants to eat so let's feed its teeth and give him meat
And I'd say don't be late cause I've got a date with a grape isn't that great?
So slide slide slippity slide u think you're moving up and u'r falling behind
So drop that rut before you're dead and play with your mind a bit instead
And re-learn to be silly like when you were young when you were only serious about having fun
