Gravity Well
Out of the darkness, led by anxiety, the functions are slowly restored
One by one, switched on, connections to the world around
The monsters emerging from the
dissolving mist, are the cost of visibility
Out of the gravity well
The time seems to move faster
The horizon farther, movement freer
Out of the gravity well
Gravity is highest at the floor of the hollow
The slopes of a depression are prone to crumble when climbed
All the small things that circle around the bigger ones
Go around and round and round and round
And the momentum keeps the system from collapsing down
Out of the gravity well
The time seems to move faster
The horizon farther, movement freer
Out of the gravity well
After the lack of scenery at the bottom of the pit
The scape can freeze the breath with a view of something to lose
Escaping the nadir gets easier with distance
Treading the slope, wary of its orientation
Out of the gravity well
The time seems to move faster
The horizon farther, movement freer
Out of the gravity well
The time lost, in the haze, will not return
A thought enough to start the pull back to the hole
The shelf life of life is infinite, re-deployment is arduous
After the anxiety, hearing again, and for a moment
You might feel all right again
