I grew up knowing about God
I remember grandma teaching me his word
I grew up with a passion, of knowing more about him
And knowing who he really is
But things started changing when I found the world
Started taking interest in the lust of the flesh
Slowly forgetting my creator,
Forgot about his word I started having amnesia
Lost my identity and had a broken image
Ran from his presence cause I thought it was rubbish
My eyes where shut from seeing the real truth
But I didn't care cause the world caught me real good
I lost respect for everyone around me
But I didn't care cause I felt they only bothered me
I did some things I can't mention
That's behind me now I feel God's conviction

Got exposed to porn at the age of 11
Started fornicating, started masturbating
Incest and theft now became a part of me
Pride and addiction started taking over me
I learnt how to break people's hearts and destroy them
Never listened to my elders I only ignored them
They gave me advice but I threw it in the trash
Everything they taught me I just threw it in the trash
Then in no time the world began destroying me
I then realised that it's not a place for me
I began to wonder where I'm supposed to be
I realised I'm blind and I just wanna see
"I'm nothing but a sinner can God accept me
I'm a slave to sin, can he set me free? "
I wondered
I did some things I can't mention
That's behind me now I feel God's conviction

2015 that's when I found God
The Holy Spirit started searching deep in my life
I now see his glory
I now see his love
I also understand why he sent his son to die
He came to die, so I can have life
Delivered me from sin and he's made me perfect
He's leading in the path of righteousness
He put sin to death and he's called me to holiness
He's leading me up to higher levels
Like a camera lens he's become my only focus
He's showing me things I never thought I'd ever see
I'm glad to proclaim the Lord has fully set me free
Give your life to God and you will see change
I used to bad and i now live for his name
The things he's done for me
