Generations

I feel like our world today
Is full of those who seem too gray
I feel like our world today
Is made of too many that have strayed away
I feel like our world today
Has so many of those who want to say

I wish that I could fit in
Even if it was just for a day
I wish that I could get in
'Cuz really on the inside
We're all the same

Generations
Millennials rely on anything to pull them through
Negativity and hostility
I think there might be a flaw in our
Generations
Some of us are overdue to change
Our point of view
Some may need a shoulder to lean on
To guide them to their future
Generations

I feel that our world could change
Some of us could see a better day
I feel that our world could change
There shouldn't be so many
That will just give way
I know that our world will be okay
Some of them just feel this way

I wish that I could fit in
Even if it was just for a day
I wish that I could get in
'Cuz really on the inside, we're all the same

Generations
Boomers say that we are ruining the world
'Cuz some of us have gone mad
There is a way that we can better
This place for our destined
Generations
Some of us could stand to learn
How to live as one
Murder and rape and shootings and vape
Should not be a part of our
Generations

Generations
Can this world be fixed so our children can
Live their lives without worry

Generations
Murder and rape and shootings and vape
Should not be a part of us
If unity could be created to help this
Growing problem in our
Generations
I write this song to help others find
Where they belong
To stop stereotypes and negativity
That are part of millennials'
