Night Terrors

My daemons are hiding just out of my reach,
I can hear them picking their way through my honesty,
Wrapped in cold fear, wide eyed in the dark,
I am plagued by the wilful desires of a blackened heart.

And the angels aren't singing no more,
And their silence is pounding in my ears,
Oh How I long for the morning light, but I have found,
to the twilight of the star light I am bound.

Choking on fears, sweating on time,
Reaching for the answer to which I'm blind.

And the angels aren't singing no more,
And their silence is pounding in my ears,
Oh How I long for the morning light, but I have found,
to the twilight of the star light I am bound.

My anchors are failing, swept away in the night,
And I fear that I have lost the will to stand and fight,
My angels have fled, I can no longer see,
But those daemons still pick their way through my honesty.
