Between The Dead and Dying

Embracing this final hour; I watch the suffering of existence disappear
Serene dreams of suicide nurse my desire to welcome decay
This numbing escape feels so sincere
Scarred from torment inside, please help me die
Bring forth the end of this dearly diminished life
Acquit me of all sorrows for I choose to live no more
Spare me a tomorrow, let oblivion consume
Tonight there is no turning back from the inevitable, I want to taste my doom

Beneath this sallow moonlight I no longer recognize
Any difference between the dead and dying
We are all terminal, our fate is unified
There will be no remorse as I leave this mortal life behind

Holding hands with the angel of demise
We dance upon the graves of the forgotten earthly casualties
Drifting further from yet another sunrise
As she carries me away from blight of my mortality

Majestically her razors maim as they're acquainted with my veins
Slice deep down into this skin, release the hell that dwells within
Vehemently her razors weep as I fall into a dreamless sleep
We danced till I was anguish free and absent from humanity

Collapsing to the depths of this earth
Let me die alone, I don't want to be remembered
Exiting this life, boldly ready to know
Where the dead have gone; and the dying shall surely go

"Ah, but to perish and finally fade," alas!
To be the nothing I once was, I shall gladly give my ebbing breath
Death is all that I covet, there's no desire in staying alive
As I cross over into the unknown, consider this my final goodbye
