Microcosm

There's a
There's a
There's a
There's a

Tornado in my room
A hurricane in my mind
A monsoon will soon ensue
If I ever do fall behind
I could jump right off the roof
Tin cup in my hand
Below sea level's where
I'm guaranteed to land
Don't touch nobody's hand
Better look 'em in the eyes
Don't walk alone at night
Unless you really wanna die
See some trouble better run though
Or they'll turn your brain to gumbo
These beggars always mumble
These streets are covered in rubble
Walk along jungle
Might stumble upon some frontal
Always pack a rubber
Less you're looking for the fungal
Boy we're living in a bubble
Where they funnel all the craziness
Amazing it's so beautiful
But really not the safest place
They got the best food
And nobody's ever rude
If you walk a couple blocks
There's some sketchy ass dudes
Downtown is where the business happens
Never know who might be packing
Panhandling psychopaths and
Rats that might attack your back
But actually it's beautiful
This place is so unusual
Nothing that I'm used to
Way too humid
And these people aren't humans
Jazz musics pretty soothing
Less your puking out on Frenchman
Every now and then
I get some nasty ass stenches in my nose
Who knows what I've been eating man
It could be from the road
Where they never fix the potholes
That must be why I'm tripping
This waters not for drinking
But I don't live in the bayou
I could quickly get to sinking

If I put my dreams down
Hope I have the strength to lift it
If I put my dreams down
Hope I have the strength to lift it
I think I might get lost in
This microcosm we live in
