Red Piano

I was made with music in my soul
Playing that music was my only goal
My early days were filled with song
The beauty of this music did not last too long
They played me by day they played me by night
My musicians and I were a wonderful sight
We make music learning a brand new song
Practicing it over and over all day long

Early on the songs were not tough
We practiced each them more than enough
Musical advancement seemed to stall
But still we played for the fun of it all
As I grew older the music played less
Then they painted me and made me a mess
I was given away to a second home
Little did I know that my music was all gone

On my last day, what was this
People playing me, I could not miss
It brought back the memories of the music in me
When I was the happiest, that I could be
Those wonderful memories filled my thoughts
All of this was musical magic was not for naught
Though it was great I, still had music inside
As for brightening the world with my song at least I tried
