Down Days

Maybe I don't need a reason
Something inside, it holds me down and stops me feeling
I can't even catch my breath
I'm never leaving
I should get out the house, but I don't want the world to see me
I would only paint it red

Happens every now and then once in a while
Struggle getting out of bed, not gonna lie
They make you want to hide
They make you want to cry
They're bound to come around more than once in your life

These down days
They blow me away
I look strong, but I'm such a lightweight
I need someone to say
I'm not falling back, I'm stumbling aside
It's okay
To have down days
Okay

Maybe I'm allowed to feel low
Surely you don't expect me to be a superhero
I can't always save the day

Happens every now and then once in a while
Struggle getting out of bed, not gonna lie
They make you want to hide
They make you want to cry
They're bound to come around more than once in your life

These down days
They blow me away
I look stronger, I'm such a lightweight
I need someone to say
I'm not falling back, I'm stumbling aside
It's okay
To have down days
Okay

I'm cold as ice, cold as ice
I'm not getting no sleep tonight
'Cause I know my mind overdrives
I'll be miles away by the time we reach morning light
I don't know where to go but I know I'll be fine
The light will guide me home

These down days
They blow me away
I look strong, but I'm such a lightweight
I need someone to say
I'm not falling back, I'm stumbling aside
It's okay
To have down days
Okay
To have down days
