Waking with the Sun

It's no longer cold outside
Like the way it used to be
That cold's taken root on the inside now
And that's the place that you'll find me

Like a shadow cast by darkness
While the world around me sleeps
And my dreams are often broken
By the ones that just won't see
And I think, "wait"
And I think, "wait"

I've read this book for too long now
And I've so much more to go
I keep reading that same page over and over again
How can a minute move so slow?

I'd like to think that when I've reached the end
That book and chapter of mine are one
I'll take my hat off and refill my poison mug
Then return to waking with the sun
For now, I'll wait
For now, I'll wait

I'd like to think that when I've reached the end
That book and chapter of mine are one
I'll take my hat off and refill my poison mug
Then return to waking with the sun

For now, I'll wait
For now, I'll wait
