Spring is Here

The wind whistles through the town of Danville
Changing direction from north to south
Tulips break through and colors spill
Out chirps a robin and its spouse
Spring is here

Grass and dandelions are plenty
Mourning doves and bluebirds begin to nest
Sun warms the earth to seventy
Winter coats can take a rest
Spring is here, Life begins anew, ooh, ooh

But now reality is late November
Winter is ahead, not the warmth I prefer
So, for now I'll hold on for the warmth to reappear
Close my eyes and it soon will be near
Spring, spring is here, renew me, one more time

Take a walk, feel the sun on your skin
Warmth once again
Fresh air replenishes my soul
Energy builds within
Spring, spring is here, renew me, one more time
