Below The Cold Moon

I'm wary of my yearning
To flourish like the rays of the cold moon's caress
Concerns are filling, I'm craving to slowly
Nourish what resides inside the dying flesh
And saturate the senses in the glare that lends reflection
And mend them from within
Feast upon obsessions, yet starving for thrills
That have crept along the chills of the cold moon's skin

I could have done more without a promise sworn
To make sure these nights were never born
Now there is nothing more I can do to ensure
That the days that have came before
Will remain untouched by the future
Keeper of secrecy, reflect my needs back to me
Keeper of secrecy, send them after me

I'm startled by such scarce beauty
The rarity that may not appear
If it is what cannot be seen, I will bear the scrutiny
And be stirred and stabbed in he cold moon's mirror
And saturate the senses in the glare that lends reflection
And mend them from within
Feast upon obsessions, yet starving for thrills
That are carved along the chills of the cold moon's skin

I could have done more without a promise sworn
To make sure these nights were never born
Now there is nothing more I can do to ensure
That the days that have came before
Will remain untouched by the future
Keeper of secrecy, reflect my needs back to me
Send them, come to me

At the alter slaughtering
The cold moon's precious offering
A trusted gift for a subconscious prayer
Drifts down sustenance for nothing
Drifts down sustenance for nothing
But my life that has been spared
Below the cold moon, below the cold moon
My life has been spared
Below the cold moon, below the cold moon
