The Castle (Is Still There)

Push open the bedroom window blinds
There's an early morning breethe
Over the roofs of the old town behind
Down in the vail underneath

Slightly above this picturesque sight
On the top of the hill vis a vis
An old masonry illuminated at night
Has been watching all over our sleep

Now there's a morning habit each day
My wife and I winkingly share
We say: as long as this castle is watching our ways
We will never have nothing to care

And the castle's still there
The castle's still there
The castle's still there
The castle's still there

Looking upon more than nine hundred years
Of peoples fortune and fait
An endless amount of laughters and tears
Inside and outside of your gates

How many souls like me and my wife
Watched the moon going 'round your shilouette
The dreams of long forgotten lifes
Dreamt in medieval beds

And the castle's still there

In a hundred years and a hundred days
Nobody will ever remind
But I hope that two people like us in this place
Will peep through this window and find

That the castle's still there
