Genuflected

My unflinching servitude is a gift to you
In that I offer not much else
Especially in the wake of such beauty
I feel as if reduced to ruins at your feet

But when I gaze skyward
My eyes tracing your artistic features
I find nothing moot about you, only exquisite
Like the finest delicacy made into art
And in that weightless moment
I am made tall
A tower not higher than you in spirit, though flesh
I instead sense flight in my blood
Simply by looking upon you

You are the ether's gift to me
Whether I should thank Nyx
Or the Sun Herself is irrelevant
In you is a brilliance and a darkness
Both equally delectable

The amalgamation has me weak in the knees
And I know this elevation won't last
But it was a pleasure to experience
Even for a short while
Though with you
Even the briefest instance
Is a succulent eternity
