Canadiana Blues
Went out to the Yukon, thought I'd strike it rich
I went out to the Yukon and thought I'd strike it rich
Ended up on a Bar stool and had
a part time job digging a ditch
Went out to B.C to make a million selling weed
I went out to beautiful British Columbia
to make a million selling weed
But the government beat me to it,
ah they know what their people need
Took a turn up in Alberta scraping up some tar sand oil
Spent time in Wild Rose country
scraping up some tar sand oil
But the price per barrel took a dive and
the tar sands sank back into the soil
Hitch hiked out to Newfoundland
ended up fishing for my life
I hitchhiked out to Newfoundland and
I had to fish for my life
It was a gruesome scene in a downtown bar
involving Screech and a hunting knife
Moved on over to Quebec City,
thought I'd learn me some French
Moved on over to Quebec City thought I's prend le Francais
Got involved in some kinda separation
and all it did was spilt up my days
Returned to old Ontario started making iron ore into steel
Got back to Ontariariario to melt iron ore into steel
Until the Americans shut the mill down and
the tariffs became too real
Well I sing those Canadiana blues just so you could tell
I sing them Canadiana blues so you could just tell
We are the true north strong and free
but we all have gone thru a little hell
I went out to the Yukon and thought I'd strike it rich
Ended up on a Bar stool and had
a part time job digging a ditch
Went out to B.C to make a million selling weed
I went out to beautiful British Columbia
to make a million selling weed
But the government beat me to it,
ah they know what their people need
Took a turn up in Alberta scraping up some tar sand oil
Spent time in Wild Rose country
scraping up some tar sand oil
But the price per barrel took a dive and
