Too Many People Dying (That I Know)

There's a whole lot of people that will die today
It won't affect me in any way
There's too many people dying that I know
Some of these folks I really loved
They will be missed sure enough
By spouses, family, friends and by me
Some died young, some died old
Some of them died out in the cold
Some of them died before their time
Some died rich, some died poor
Some of them died in the middle of the floor
Some of them died and it's a crime
It's a crime
Sometimes it's hard to say goodbye
If you can, go ahead and cry
The tears might help to wash away your pain
If you can hear their voice, in your head
Some would say they're never dead
So keep that memory in your heart

Some of them died - no one was told
Some of them died without a name
Some died rich, some died poor
Some of them died in a senseless war
Ultimately mankind is to blame
We're all to blame
A friend called and said his mother died
Well good for her I replied
She is free from the pain
And you can get some rest
